General Surgeon, Dr. Haris Konstantinidis, was born in Thessaloniki. During his childhood, his family moved to Katerini Perias, where he graduated from high school as an excellent student. After succeeding in the Panhellenic examinations, he was admitted to the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated 6 years later with excellent performance. He then received his specialisation in General Surgery from the university surgical clinic of the Hippocratio General Hospital of Thessaloniki and shortly after the title of Doctor of Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He specialised in Surgical Oncology, Laparoscopic Surgery and Thoracic Surgery while he is the originator of both the pioneering laparoscopic surgery named after him and applied to neurosurgery for the treatment of hydrocephalus and the robotic surgery for treatment of the superior mesenteric artery syndrome.
He applies all the modern methods in the field of Minimally Invasive Surgery in order to provide his patients with the most appropriate surgical treatment, but with the least possible surgical trauma. This is achieved by the use of laparoscopic, thoracic and robotic techniques as well as the use of surgical laser.
He was invited to transfer his scientific-surgical activity to the Interbalkan Medical Center of Thessaloniki, being ever since the sole expressor of robotic surgery and oncology in the field of general surgery in Northern Greece, acquiring at the same time the role of Director of the homonymous department.
He devotes his free time to studying and getting informed about international developments in the field of surgery, as well as to his wife and children. He loves the Greek countryside and tradition while he has been for years a national Balkan champion in the sport of rowing.
